Protect while allowing for pets with Dual-Vision Pet Immune

The two PIRs of the XDL12TT-AM have a dedicated volumetric field of view. The top PIR detects outwards and up, while the bottom PIR detects outwards and down, without either crossing the central horizontal place between them. This setup of non-overlapping PIR sensors alongside Tri-Signal Detection Logic, delivers highly secure sequential detection and increases its tolerance to pet immunity.

Protected whatever the weather with IP55 rating

The XDL12TT-AM boasts IP55 weatherproof rating, which means that whatever the weather, the brand-new detector is durable and reliable with protection from dust ingress, high density rain, snow and water jets from any direction. To ensure this, the rubber gasket on the lens and the foam gasket on the PIR sensor seal the detector against all weather conditions and humidity.

A key weatherproof feature of the XD is its tolerance to ultraviolet light. The lenses and housing are manufactured with materials of the highest standard and are also coated with a heavy duty ultraviolet filter, ensuring that that the XD’s performance is not compromised.

Arming safely and beat the burglar with Anti-Interference Technology

  • Anti-Masking
This Patented Grade 3 Technology provides superior protection against any attempts to mask any of the three technologies within the detector from a variety of materials, such as: cardboard, duct tape, sprays, lacquers or aluminium foil.

  • Anti-Blocking
This Grade 4 Technology prevents the system from being armed if there is anything blocking the field of view of any of the sensors within the detector. This would need to be removed before the system will arm.

Low mount, pet-tolerant external detector, featuring Grade 3 and 4 technologies

Consisting of two independent passive infrared (PIR) sensors and one microwave sensor in one common housing, Tri-Technology (TT) utilises Tri-Signal Detection Logic whereby to identify the presence of an intruder, all three sensors need to be activated sequentially in quick succession to create an alarm.

Heavy duty ultraviolet filter

Ultraviolet light is always present in our environment and is particularly strong at high altitude and sea side. The exposure to such high radiation reduces performance and can fully blind PIR lenses. To counter this, XD lenses are coated with a heavy duty ultraviolet filter and manufactured to the highest standards.

Upgrade opportunities

The multitude of upgrade advantages can be seen with the expandability and flexibility of the security system.

Should your add an extension, garage or outbuilding and require more detectors, life protection sensors, shock sensors etc., these can all be installed without having to refit an entirely new system. again saves you time and money.

Furthermore, you can also offer a fully customisable Surface or Flush Mount Keypad. Therefore, even if your end users redecorate, with interchangeable casings available, you can still deliver a security system that perfectly suits their décor.

PyronixCloud HomeControl +

The system

A professional high-security solution that incorporates integrated and home control options. The system is accessible on the go from anywhere in the world via the user’s smartphone using secure IP communications via the PyronixCloud and HomeControl+ App infrastructure.

Offering a full range of peripherals that utilise our multi-award winning Enforcer two-way wireless technology that delivers the battery life and ease of installation of a wireless system, without compromising on the reliability and safety of a wired system.

Easy setup and installation

In just four simple steps the HomeControl+ App is ready and, by connecting through a cloud server, there is no on-site setup of static IP addresses or configuration of network connection, instead you simply set up an account on PyronixCloud.com, which saves you time and therefore money on your installation.

Remote management capability

The PyronixCloud infrastructure also allows for remote programming and diagnosis of systems using our InSite UDL software. This again saves time, money and increases the number of installations that can be completed, which also makes the HomeControl+ a more profitable solution. Recurring revenue streams can also be established by offering PyronixCloud management services; managing this themselves or passing access to end users. This increases customer retention and again makes your systems more profitable

wired-or-wireless
Wired V's Wireless CCTV.

If you’re looking for a  CCTV system for your home or business, one of the first choices you’ll have to make is whether to go for a wired or a wireless system. Below we lay out all the facts to help you make the right decision.

Installation Cost

While the parts for a wireless system are more expensive, the installation time required is a lot less than for a wired system (typically half). As a result, we can now install a wireless CCTV system for less than the cost of a wired one in most smaller premises.

In your home a wireless system is far more tidier installation. No ugly cables have to be fitted around doorways or hidden in plastic trunking and there is no need to drill holes through walls.

However, if your workplace has cable trays or suspended ceilings then the cabling/labour element of the installation cost will fall and the balance may swing in favour of wired.

Running costs

Wireless systems run on batteries, which we recommend changing every two years. These have a cost over and above the price of maintenance and the price of the panel battery used as a power back up for both wired and wireless systems. How much more depends on the number of detection devices on your system but it is not normally a large number and it is only every other year. Replacement parts are more expensive for a wireless system than for a wired one; however, all our parts come with a minimum one year guarantee.

Reliability

Wireless alarms used to be notorious for false activations. However, after more than 10 years of research and development they have more than caught up with their wired counterparts. In most people’s opinion both systems are as reliable as each other.

Disruption and Aesthetics

This is a clear winner for the wireless system. No wiring means a cleaner installation. It also means a much shorter installation time (for most wireless systems we are in and out in under a day) so less disruption in your home or workplace. These concerns are more geared towards domestic customers, however. If you can plan your alarm installation to take place during fit out of your workplace or refurbishment of your home, we can keep labour time and disruption to a minimum.

Flexibility

Extensions to a wireless system are simple. We can install new cameras, programme them into the system and it’s done. Wired systems are more complex, disruptive and time-consuming. With a wireless system, cameras can be located in the optimum positions, whereas wired systems are often restricted by cabling issues. Again, with large commercial premises this is less of an issue.

Conclusion

Given that both systems are equally reliable, we advise the majority of our domestic and small business customers to install wireless systems. However, for larger commercial premises, the running costs and scalability of wired systems usually get our vote, especially if we can install the system during fit out.
